Insightful Articles About Faith and Religion

Our Father, … forgive me my trespasses ….

You can be forgiven any sin; I know because He said, “…I am the Lord, exercising loving kindness, judgement, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight….” Jeremiah. 9:24

Forgiveness doesn’t mean you won’t have to undergo consequences for your actions. You will, but He will forgive you WHATEVER you’ve done because he delights in being kind to you; he delights in loving you even after judgement!

Also notice how God had Jeremiah record His words above. Before the word, “judgement” came the words, “loving kindness.”

Another Biblical quote from James 2:13 tells us, “For judgement is without mercy for the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgement.” This is what is meant when we pray the Lord’s Prayer and say, “Forgive me my trespasses as I forgive those who trespass against me.”

Jesus is Mercy; His Grace is forgiveness of our sins … everyone’s sin, when we let Him guide our lives!

Not sure how to do that? I am asking God right now to let you be enlightened by His grace so that you will Accept His Love, Believe in Him, Commit to Him, and Trust in Him.

Let’s dig a little deeper here:

  • Accept His Love…you may not love yourself but God loves everyone; God is love; God is mercy. Jeremiah, a prophet from the Old Testament tells us what God told him to say, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11.)
  • Believe in Him…Paul, from the New Testament tells us, “Christ Jesus is the image of the invisible God…All things [you, included] were created through Him and for Him….In Him all things hold together….He is the head of the Body, (The Church)….In Him all the fullness [of God] was pleased to dwell.” (Colossians 1:15-19)
  • Commit to Him…Jesus told Nicodemus, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16.) If He loves us, does it matter what others think? If they don’t know God; if they don’t know Jesus, their thinking has been crippled by the devil.
  • Trust Him…God is not a liar! You can’t believe He is a “good man” and not believe He is God. Would a “good man” lie? Therefore, you can trust every word that comes out of the mouth of the Lord. When you do, “Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 12-13.) Here is a promise you can rely on. He said it to Jeremiah, He speaks it to you today; He’s talking to you right now!
