ANXIETY GOT YOU PARALYZED?
Lord knows there is plenty to be anxious about in our world today. I don’t need to give you a list; I’m sure the list you have plays itself over and over in your head. But what if it doesn’t have to be like that? What if there was something you could do to make your mind move on—to stop paralyzing you from getting on with things—something or someone to lift you out of this depressive state of living?
The God who created us didn’t create us for anxiety. He became the solution to every problem; He calms every fear; He helps with all our needs be they physical, mental, or spiritual. He gives health, shelter, friends, refuge. We just need to “come to Him.” He tells us to come to Him for everything that is important.
“When I am overwhelmed by the burdens of life, I do my best to quickly turn my attention to the faithfulness of the Lord—and His unique ability to turn my tests into testimony…my troubles into triumphs…my sorrows into singing…and my greatest problems into opportunities to pray, seek His face, learn from His Word—and proclaim His sovereignty and goodness to all.” -Dr. David Jeremiah
Do you feel overwhelmed by life? God wants to change that and pour His love upon you. We are told this in the Book of Hebrews verse 22: “let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.” Getting close to God’s will, we are told in verse 23, help us “hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” Great is His Faithfulness is one of my most favorite old-time hymns!
Here are two more things you can do today to change your life for the better:
1. Pray. In prayer “Draw near to God” when you do, “He will draw near to you.” He can’t wait to hear from you!!! James 4:8
